Measham Flower Festival

Excitement grows as the Measham Flower Festival approaches

Floral displays are planned, advertising set and the programme has been designed. This represents the culmination of several months of detailed planning as we seek to show the variety of opportunities in the village of Measham as a good place to live.

In total, 21 organisations will contribute to the whole Festival which will take place over the early May Bank Holiday weekend. Groups taking part come from the full range of village organisations, including 3 churches, both village schools and other young people's groups, There are also contributions from local businesses, the medical unit, museum, Parish Council, the local news magazine, bell ringers, Slimmers World and Measham Village Hall.

The Festival opens on Saturday, 5th May and finishes on Monday, 7th May. Over each of the 3 days, the church will be open from 10am (11am on the Sunday) until 4pm. Stewards will be on hand to point visitors in the right direction and refreshments will also be available. Entrance to the Festival is free, although there will be an opportunity for visitors to make donations towards the upkeep of the church.

The church is grateful for the sponsorship offered by local business, particularly our major sponsors, Bloor Homes Ltd and British Car Auctions.

There will be a special festival Songs of Praise service in the church at 6pm on the Sunday, to which all are welcome.
