Support for First Responders

John Wilebur received the cheque on behalf of the First Ronders

The All Age Service on Sunday 21st April saw the handing over a cheque to John Wilebur, leader of the local team of Community First Responders, appropriately enough as the theme of the service was 'how to serve one's local community, based on the story of Dorcas/Tabitha in Acts 9'.

In February, the First Responders had delivered a First Aid Training evening for some of the church's children's workers. Our respnse was to hold a coffee morning at the beginning of April to raise funds for the Responders, who put on a display of their eqipment and work at the event. £160.00 was raised and a cheque for this amount was duly presented at the service.
