New Children's Corner

New Children's Corner

picture of children's area

The old vestry, that had become a dumping ground for all thse things we didn't know what to do with, has been removed. In its place, there is a new open and airy children's area  has pride of place. The area is already in full use during Sunday services and is accessible to visitors during the week. Furnished with a durable carpet and bean bags, as well as more traditional tables and chairs, the corner provides for children of all ages to work, learn or play in a safe environment. Even the children's leaders seemed to be having fun lounging on the floor with some of the younger children at the weekend.

The area is not only an advantage for the children, however; opening up the area allows more light into the church building and opens up some of the stained glass windows which have been hidden behind tall screens for many years.

Many positive comments have been received already and the children and leaders all seem to be very much at home in 'their' corner..
