Activeage

On Wednesday mornings, sounds of laughter and music can be heard coming out of Measham Church Hall on the High Street. This signals that the Activeage Group is in session. The group meets on Wednesday mornings  starting at 11 a.m.

These are pre-Covid photos. Now socially distanced!

This group has been operating for some 10 years. It caters for the over 60s age group and meets in the Church Hall on  Wednesday mornings at 11am. Each session lasts one hour. New members are always welcome (though currently there is a waiting list). The cost of each session is £3.50.

We look forward to going ahead with our new leader, Chris Mawbey who will choose exercsies suited to those taking part. As the exercises are mainly seated, they are appropriate for a wide variety of this age group. The classes are beneficial not only for the physical well-being of the members, but also offer a good opportunity to socialise.

At this time, we cannot accommodate the whole group at one time so for each person, it will mean fortnightly rather than weekly sessions. Nor can we for now offer refreshements at the end of the session. There are Covid guidances to follow but these will be explained

So, need to get those muscles on the go again after Lockdown? This is the group for you! Contact Vivien on teamrector@stlaurencechurchmeasham.org.uk or 01530 270354
