Holy Week and Easter

 

 

  Sunday March 21st marks the beginning of the two weeks of Passiontide in the Christian calendar. We’re invited to walk with Jesus through this most important part of his life leading to his arrest, his death on the cross and then to resurrection.

   Last year we were not able to celebrate this great festival in our churches at all as we were in that First National Lockdown. We were beginning to learn to have an online presence instead. This year we have got our church buildings open though for now, we don’t open every church every Sunday. This year we offer a mixture of services in church and on line. Come and walk with us the Way of the Cross.

  Here are the services across the 8 churches of the Woodfield Team:

March 21st: Passion Sunday

10am:  Morning Prayer at Normanton-le-Heath, Holy Communion at Measham and Swepstone

10am:   Holy Communion at Normanton-le-Heath, Appleby, Donisthorpe and Packington

5pm:    Zoom service

April 1st: Maundy Thursday

April 2nd: Good Friday – The Way of the Cross

10am:  Measham and Norton juxta Twycross

3pm:   Snarestone

April 4th: Easter Day
