The Tower of Light

Christmas @ Measham in 2017 again promoted the Tower of Light.

The idea of this is to give anyone and everyone, no matter what nationality or religion, the chance to remember a loved one at this special time, by sponsoring a light bulb on St Laurence Church tower at Measham.

This year, the charity to benefit  was Measham United Charities which helps to provide relief of hardship in the Parish of Measham. Trustees wish to build up Capital to help more people within the village. (Registered Charity No. 243199)

We are pleased to say that the Tower of Light donations have amounted to £1333.50 which will go to Measham United Charities.

Very many thanks to all individuals and businesses who contributed.

See below for the picture of Revd Vivien Elphick handing the cheque to Mrs Cornell, treasurer of Measham United Charites, together with member of the Charity and Christmas@Measham committee - Mrs Gleny Banton and Mrs Christine Wright
