Church Organ Appeal

St. Laurence Church Measham is trying to raise funds for a complete overhaul of the church organ.

Built in 1885 by Taylor's of Leicester, the church organ has had various repais and maintenance work over the last 150 years, but is now in need of a major overhaul, involving replacement of all leathers, re-fitting them and cleaning, testing and regulating them. A much more intensive cleaning is required of all the pipes, keys, the pedal board and many other parts. This will mean removing most of the parts to Cousins Workshop and then rebuilding the organ.
